Amidst the pandemic, the National Science Foundation Broader Impacts workshops have transitioned to online. We are navigating this new space of using Zoom technologies to ensure Wisconsin Idea STEM Fellows of the past, present, and future can stay connected during these times. This page is dedicated to understanding the new existence and requirements of these workshops, which are in an online format.
This page includes resources to help you maintain the same level of engagement in the new normal and the current existence of the workshops.

Past Online Workshops
Below, you will have access to the online workshops that were held in May of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. These workshops took place using Zoom software. In order to discuss research focuses, Broader Impacts identities, and goals for public engagement, researchers split up into breakout rooms. Some of the breakout rooms were recorded in order to show potential Wisconsin Idea STEM Fellows. These videos should provide insight into the questions you should be asking yourself in order to have the best ‘Broader Impact Identity’ possible.
